TRAINING PROGRAMS
Structured Preparation Before Deployment

ZT – Ethical Wildlife Support Initiative operates on a simple principle:
Preparation is mandatory.
No volunteer is deployed without prior structured training aligned with our operational doctrine and ethical framework.
Our training model follows a progressive structure designed to build discipline, awareness and operational maturity.
LAB 1 – Foundational Field Preparation
LAB 1 is the mandatory entry-level training for all volunteers.
It focuses on:
• Operational discipline
• Role clarity and defined boundaries
• GPS and navigation fundamentals
• Risk awareness and contextual understanding
• Tactical first aid readiness
• Structured briefing and debriefing culture
• Ethical conduct in conservation environments
LAB 1 establishes the minimum operational baseline required for any future engagement.
LAB 2 – Equatorial Environment Preparation
LAB 2 prepares volunteers for work in challenging natural environments.
It includes:
• Jungle and humid environment adaptation
• Environmental risk management
• Logistical resilience
• Team coordination in complex terrain
• Field autonomy under structured guidance
LAB 2 builds environmental competence and adaptability.
LAB 3 – Sensitive Zone Preparation
LAB 3 is designed for advanced profiles operating in sensitive environments under supervision.
It focuses on:
• Psychological discipline under pressure
• Structured coordination with local actors
• Advanced situational awareness
• Strict boundary adherence
• Reinforcement of non-armed operational limits
LAB 3 remains aligned with our non-coercive engagement doctrine.
Ethical Integration Across All Levels
All training programs integrate:
• Respect for international human rights standards
• Defined code of conduct
• Non-armed operational positioning
• Role limitation clarity
• Formal withdrawal framework awareness
Training is not tactical aggression.
It is disciplined preparation within defined limits.
Selection and Progression
Participation in advanced training levels requires:
• Successful completion of previous levels
• Demonstrated discipline
• Ethical reliability
• Operational maturity
Progression is not automatic.
Our Objective
Our objective is to create structured, responsible and disciplined volunteers capable of supporting conservation efforts without exceeding defined mandates.
Preparation protects:
• The volunteer
• The partner
• The organization
• The mission
